Police respond to shots fired in north Columbia

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that happened in north Columbia Sunday afternoon.

The call came in around 2:30 p.m. that multiple gunshots were heard in the area near Bodie Drive.

Responding officers and a Boone County sheriff deputy found multiple shell casings in the 5300 block of Currituck Lane.

No one was hurt and there was no reported property damage.

CPD has now investigated four shots fired incidents in the area in less than a month, which includes three during the month of January.
