Jefferson City robbery suspect arrested in St. Louis

A Jefferson City robbery suspect was arrested Friday in St. Louis after being on the run since January 18.

21-year-old Cori Leavell fled from the capital city after the January 18 robbery at 505 Ellis Blvd.

Leavell allegedly forced his way into an apartment and threatened the residents at gunpoint.

Leavell and two other suspects stole cash and a computer before the left the scene.

He was arrested Friday in the 7600 block of Hazelcrest Dr. in Hazelwood by the members of the St. Louis Fugitive Task Force.

He’s facing charges of 1st degree robbery, armed criminal action, and first degree burglary.

Leavell is also on probation for receiving stolen property.
