Jefferson City man arrested for having pot, packaging materials

A Jefferson City man was arrested Thursday night after members of the MUSTANG Drug Task Force and JCPD served a drug search warrant.

Officers searched an apartment in the 300 block of West Elm with a K-9 unit and found more than 160 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, a .40 caliber handgun, and ammunition.

22-year-old Torone Poindexter was arrested for drug possession, possession with intent to distribute,and unlawful possession of a firearm.
