Street crime detectives had Hanover Boulevard under surveillance, trying to find Brandon Johnson, who was wanted for first-degree assault in Kansas City, along with several other felony warrants.
They followed a car to the Tiger Stop Gas Station on Clark Lane, which stopped and left with no one getting out. Officers say the driver started driving into on-coming traffic and crossing a solid line, before turning off its lights off in the chase on Olympic Boulevard.
Troopers later found the same car near Route Z and Rangeline Road and arrested a different man, Byron Anderson, for drugs they claim were under the driver’s seat. Officials say they found including PCP, Xanax, two bags of crack cocaine and 60 pills, including oxycodone.
Brandon Johnson ran from the scene, but police dogs later found him around 10:10 p.m.
