Chance of light wintry mix Wednesday night- Thursday

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from Wednesday night through noon Thursday for southwestern and western Missouri, including Benton and Camden counties where a glaze of ice and dusting of snow is possible.

Light precipitation will increase late in the evening and overnight as an upper level wave rotates moisture in from the southwest. Precipitation could start as patchy freezing drizzle at the Lake of the Ozarks after 10 PM Wednesday with some light snow mixing in as moisture increases aloft.

Although moisture will be limited, there is a slight chance of light snow showers through the morning Thursday mainly south of I-70 with snow flurries possible farther north. Minor accumulation is possible with a half inch or less as temperatures stay below freezing.
