Jefferson City robbery suspect at large, two others in custody
Two of three suspects were arrested Tuesday morning after a robbery in Jefferson City Monday night.
The third suspect remains at large Tuesday morning.
Antonio L. Jones and William D. Murry, both 18, were taken into custody.
Monday night at 10:30, Jefferson City Police responded to reports of a robbery at an apartment on 505 Ellis Boulevard. Once on the scene, officers determined three men were involved.
Jones and Murry were already in the apartment and were acquaintances of the victim. The third man forced his way into the apartment later, showed a handgun, and ordered everyone to get on the floor. Jones and Murry then helped the third take various items from the apartment.
One of the victims had a two-year-old child. They were allowed to go into the bathroom away from the confrontation.
Jones, Murry and the third suspect stole a number of items and then fled the scene. No one was injured.
Both Murry and Jones were arrested for Robbery First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. They are both in the Cole County Jail pending charges.
