Wanted man escapes deputies in a foot chase
The Maries County Sheriff’s Department is actively looking for 42-year-old Timothy Ezell, who is wanted in Pulaski County on two felony warrants.
The department received a tip that Ezell was staying a at home on Maries County Road 638. Deputies went to the home Saturday afternoon and Ezell took off into the nearby woods and a foot pursuit began.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Department of Conservation assisted with the search, but authorities were unable to find him.
The sheriff’s department arrested Belinda Shelton on suspicion of hindering the prosecution of a felon. She is currently being held in the Maries County Jail.
Ezell is wanted for driving while revoked and possession of dangerous drugs in Pulaski County. His bond has been set to $100,000. He is now facing charges in Maries County for resisting arrest.
Ezell is known to carry a large knife and resist arrest. The Maries County Sheriff’s Department advises residents to call local authorities if Ezell is seen and do not try to apprehend him.
