A Strong Cold Front Will Bring Light Snow Tonight into Tomorrow Morning

Mid-Missouri kicked the weekend off on a cold note this Saturday as high temperatures dropped into the lower thirties. The weekend will end with even colder temperatures after an arctic cold front slides southward Saturday night into Sunday morning bringing light snow showers with it.

A band of snow is expected to move into the far northwestern corner of Missouri starting at 12AM and continue to push to the southeast. Light snow showers should arrive in the far northwest of our viewing area by about 3AM. As the band of snow continues its southward track, it is anticipated to weaken in intensity, resulting in only a dusting to a half an inch of snow accumulations for counties to the south of I-70. By 10AM, the snow will taper off considerably and the bulk of the shower activity is expected to be shifted to the south of I-70. All counties should be dry by 1PM with skies clearing into Sunday evening.
