Man faces possible charges after allegedly injuring neighbor in shooting
A man was facing possible charges Tuesday after allegedly shooting a gun while drunk and injuring his neighbor in Camden County.
Authorities said they responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Oxon Run Ct. in Sunrise Beach on Friday.
Camden County deputies said an investigation revealed that 51-year-old Gary Weber fired a gun during an argument with a neighbor. Deputies said Weber appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Weber apparently fired the .22 rifle into the ground. However, authorities believe the bulletricocheted off the ground and scratched the victim on his face and leg.
Deputies said Weber was arrested at the scene and transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility.
Weber faced possible charges of Felony of Assault 2nd Degree, Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action. ABC 17 News checked case net Tuesday, and Weber was not formally charged.
Deputies said Weber posted a $3,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear before the court on February 9th, 2016.
