City of Columbia holds public nuisance hearing

The City of Columbia held an administrative hearing Friday morning to determine if two different properties are a public nuisance.

The first meeting, for the property at 64th Avenue was cancelled last minute. According to Tim Teddy with the City of Columbia, a witness who was set to speak at the hearing came down ill. It is being reschedule.

The other is at 3305 Crawford Street and involves yard waste and tree debris. The owners of this property were at this meeting and did speak with the city.

No ruling was expected of these meetings for today. If either property is found to be a nuisance, the city could step in and take action.
