Crews film active shooter video on MU campus

Mizzou is using an in-house team to create a “teaching” video on what to do in the unlikely event an active shooter were on campus. Though unlikely, the school wants to be prepared since there have been a number of school shootings in recent years.

The university posted signs around where the crew was filming the video Thursday so people in the area would know there is no real threat.

Campus police were on hand in case an actual emergency does occur. They also said they would activate the MU alert system if something like that did happen.

The video will depict different version of active shooter scenarios, mainly showing the victims and how they should respond. They expect the video to available sometime this semester.
