Crews battle house fire in Fulton

No one was injured in a house fire in Fulton on Wednesday evening.

Crews responded to find light smoke from a single-story home at 410 Business 54 South.

Firefighters found an active fire in the attic that they were able to extinguish within minutes of arrival.

All residents were outside the house when crews arrived.

Investigation revealed the cause of the fire stemmed from arcing wires in the attic.

No working smoke detectors were located inside the house.

Damage was estimated at $15,000 and the American Red Cross was called in to assist the family.
