Summersville woman dies in head-on collision
A 32-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a semi-truck in Phelps County Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 10:30 on Highway 63, about one mile south of Highway W.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Samantha Devol, of Summersville, drove into the path of a semi that was traveling southbound on Highway 63.
According to the crash report, Devol was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The driver of the semi-truck wasn’t injured.
