Man arrested after hiding from authorities in lake
A man was charged Saturday after hiding from authorities in a lake.
Dillon Marschke is charged with felony burglary, resisting arrest and misdemeanor assault.
The Camden County Sheriff’s Office said authorities responded to a report of an assault and attempted burglary around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
It happened in the 900 Block of Irish Drive in Sunrise Beach.
When deputies got to the home, Marschke reportedly ran away from them and jumped into the lake.
Deputies said Marschke hid under a dock for about 30 minutes before they found him and pulled him from the water.
Marschke is being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Facility without bond. He is set to appear in court on Feb. 2.
