Highway 50 reopened in Gasconade Co.
ABC 17 News checked in with MoDOT in Gasconade County Thursday where Highway 50 has finally reopened.
Crews brought in tons of gravel to reinforce the sides of the highway.
It was swept away by floods when a whole section of road was under water.
More than 15 trucks and several excavators were working on a particular section of road.
Crews said Highway 50 was their top priority, and they’ve only been delayed by the water level which is dropping fast.
MoDOT said Osage and Gasconade counties have borrowed equipment and trucks from other divisions.
