Two arrested after numerous drugs, distribution items found in Columbia

A Columbia man was arrested early Wednesday morning following a traffic stop on Providence and Green Meadows.

Officers pulled over 30-year-old Troy Lewis for driving without headlights on.

A K-9 unit alerted officers of the presence of drugs, and they searched the car.

Inside, they found a container with marijuana inside, several plastic baggies, a smoking bong, meth pipe, digital scale, baggie of meth, and two guns.

Columbia Police’s Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit searched Lewis’ home after the stop.

Inside they found 2 pounds of marijuana in baggies, 1 pound of marijuana concentrate, an electronic scale, empty baggies, drug paraphernalia, and 5 stolen guns.

They also found meth in the purse of a woman inside the house, 23-year-old Andrea Middleton.

Lewis was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

After the search of his home, Lewis was additionally charged with distribution of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Two children live inside the home and had access to the drugs and one of the guns.

Middleton was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
