Warming temperatures and light rain

We’ll have above average temperatures this weekend as southerly winds usher in mild air ahead of a cold front which will move through Sunday.

Saturday will start off cold with morning lows in the 20s but sunshine and a southeasterly breeze will bring temperatures up into the 40s during the afternoon, topping out near 50 along and south of I-70. Southerly winds pick up Sunday with afternoon winds at 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times as clouds move in. There is a chance of a light shower west of HWY 63 after 2 in the afternoon but most areas will stay dry until the evening hours. Light showers will become more widespread and move through Mid-Missouri Sunday night through daybreak Monday.

Rainfall amounts are expected to come in light, under a quarter inch of rain.
