Suspect still on the loose after north Columbia stabbing

ABC 17 News has now confirmed Boone County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for a man involved in a stabbing in Columbia Monday night.

Detective Tom O’Sullivan said the department knows who the 25-year-old suspect is and that he is the ex-boyfriend of a woman who lives on Mauller.

That woman’s current boyfriend was the victim. His injuries were not life threatening.

The call first came in around 5:30 Monday night off Mauller Road, just west of Highway 63 near Prathersville.

ABC17 News went back to the neighborhood Tuesday afternoon and spoke with the property manager of the duplexes, Russell Burton. The woman and the victim live there with her children.

He said the suspect also lived in the area, but left this morning in his car.

ABC 17 News is going to continue checking with officials to confirm the suspect’s name.
