Randolph Co. authorities hold active shooter training for school bus drivers

Authorities in Randolph County Tuesday held active shooter training for school bus drivers.

The training, sponsored by Moberly Police and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, was centered around a January 2013 incident where a school bus driver was fatally shot and a 5-year-old child was taken hostage.

The training was designed for school bus drivers and transportation staff, but other educational administrators were in attendance.

All private and public schools in Randolph County were invited to the training that was held at the Moberly High School Auditorium.
