Four teens are recovering after a crash on Route B Friday.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. in 11900 block of Route B. Traffic was backed up and both lanes were temporarily shut down.

Four teens were taken to University Hospital, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Three of the teens had serious injuries.

As of Saturday afternoon, two of the teens were still in the hospital in good condition, according to hospital officials.

It was the second crash of the night on Route B. The first crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. at Route B and Oakland Church Road. Both lanes were shut down for about an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.

Three cars were involved in the crash and one person suffered minor injuries.

According to the crash report, the driver in one car failed to yield to stopped traffic and rear-ended a second car, which caused that second car to hit the rear of a third car.
