Tracking more storms south of I-70 tonight, but mild days ahead

TONIGHT: The first round of storms are well clear of the viewing area, but more storms are expected tonight. Northern counties will stay dry, but counties along and south of I-70 can expect to be impacted, and should be mindful that all severe threats are still possible with this system. This includes high winds, hail, and most of all flooding. This second round will start firing off between 4 and 5 pm, and should clear out of the region no later than 10 pm. Once the storms are gone, we'll be calm and dry for the overnight hours, with temperatures in the low 60s.

TOMORROW: No storms for us tomorrow as clouds will slowly dissipate throughout the day, bringing sunshine back to mid-Missouri. A passing cold front will clear out residual moisture from the thunderstorms and bring temperatures down to the mid 70s, giving us a beautiful and mild summer day.

EXTENDED: Tuesday looks to be another great day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s. Rain chances will pick back up in the evening, though they remain very slight for now. Wednesday looks to bring more widespread showers throughout the day, and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible. A stray shower can't be ruled out each day through to Saturday, but it looks like most will stay dry. Temps will pick back up into the mid 80s by the end of the week, with partly cloudy skies being the trend through Sunday.
