A Columbia sexual assault suspect pleaded guilty Monday to felonious restraint and 2nd degree sodomy.

32-year-old Rudi Perez-Ramirez was sentenced to 7 years for apparently sexually assaulting a woman in March at La Siesta Mexican restaurant on Rangeline Street.

According to court documents, the victim told police she was vomiting inside a bathroom stall when the suspect entered the stall, locked the door and sodomized her.

At the time, Perez-Ramirez was a waiter at the restaurant, and the victim said she did not know him prior to the incident.

When police interviewed Perez-Ramirez in March, he admitted to holding the woman against her will and sexually assaulting her. He also said he was intoxicated at the time.

Perez-Ramirez is an illegal immigrant, according to court documents.
