Warming temperatures the next few days
Temperatures will slowly warm up the next few days with mostly sunny skies. Surface high pressure will move over us Thursday giving us plenty of sunshine and warming temperatures into the upper 40s. The warming trend will continue for the end of the week through Saturday due to abundant sunshine and southwesterly winds as the high pressure moves east. Highs will reach the low to mid 50s.
A wave of low pressure aloft is forecast to move into Missouri Sunday, bringing clouds and a slight shower chance mainly for southwestern Missouri. Light showers can’t be ruled out for the Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Reservoir areas Sunday but rain would be light and spotty.
