Lake Ozark man accused of posting fake sex ads with photos of former girlfriend

A Lake Ozark man is accused of posting fake Craigslist ads of a sexual nature in a woman’s name last fall. Court documents said Dustin McCullough created nine fake ads in the victim’s name to solicit “sex with any man.”

The ads were placed on Craigslist between October 12 and November 17, 2014.

The victim said the photos were taken while she was in a relationship with McCullough. The private photos were sent to him while he was out of town, and never sent to anyone but him.

The victim began to receive hundreds of phone calls and text messages as a result of the ads.

Records said a witness said he heard McCullough talking at a bar about posting the fake ads, and he was able to identify McCullough from a photo lineup.

Investigators were able to trace the ads back to IP addresses registered to McCullough, and some of the posts were made from his phone.

The victim had an ex-parte order of protection against McCullough during the time he made the posts online.

The victim fears for her safety and fears being raped because McCullough posted her photos and home address online.

McCullough is charged with 3 counts of 1st degree aggravated stalking, and violating an order of protection.
