Election date set for next week for Bus. Loop sales tax hike
ABC 17 News has confirmed the election date for a sales tax hike covering parts of central Columbia.
The CID board said a handful of people will now mail in ballots by next Thursday, December 10.
It’s expected to raise about $200,000 per year to pay for improvements in the area.
The plans hit a snag in the summer, when officials discovered a MU student living within the district’s boundaries.
The board later identified 13 other residents.
