MU Chemistry Building evacuated for chemical spill

The University of Missouri Chemistry Building is back open after a morning chemical spill.

The Columbia Fire Department responded to the building at 601 College Avenue just before 11:00 a.m.

MUPD officers evacuated the building, according to the MU Alert System.

Around 11:50 a.m., environmental health and safety personnel checked the building and cleared it for normal operations an hour later.

No one was hurt.
