Destiny of H.O.P.E. Harvest Dinner feeds more than 700 people

Hundreds of residents enjoyed a Thanksgiving charity dinner in Columbia Saturday.

The 17th Annual Destiny of H.O.P.E. Harvest Dinner was held at two locations from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Volunteers served dinners to more than 700 people, including more than 300 delivered meals to residents.

“It’s really for the people who don’t have families to do Thanksgiving dinners and the people that don’t have transportation, that are impoverished,” organizer Glenn Cobbins Sr. said. “So I love taking dinners to the people who can’t get here.”
