Cole Co. man charged with child molestation wanted by police
Jefferson City Police Thursday are looking for a man charged with statutory sodomy and child molestation.
Court documents said officers responded to a Cole County home after the 3-year-old victim’s grandmother told them the victim said she was touched inappropriately by 31-year-old Kevin Struempf.
On Monday, the grandmother reported to police that she observed bruising and redness near the victim’s genitalia, which medical officials found to be consistent with sexual assault injuries at University Hospital.
Officers interviewed the child at Rainbow House on Thursday.
The victim was able to tell officers that Struempf touched her inappropriately while wearing a “white glove.”
Struempf is still at large as of Thursday night.
