Trial date set for former church youth director accused of child sex crimes

The trial date has been set for a former church youth director accused of child sex crimes.

Jury selection starts January 12 for Dale Johnson.

Johnson turned himself over to Boone County deputies back in March after leaving his role at Parkade Baptist Church in central Columbia.

Officials said he molested a young girl at his home and at the church, saying they found pictures of the abuse on his church-issued computer.
