Rain chance and much colder air
Our next chance of rain moves in Friday evening ahead of a cold front which moves through overnight. Light rain is possible by mid-afternoon north of I-70 and will spread southeast through the evening. There is a chance of snow mixing in with the rain but accumulation is not expected.
The coldest air yet this season will move in Friday night and Saturday. Temperatures will start off near 30 Saturday morning as clouds move out and will stay in the 30s through the day. A hard freeze is expected Saturday night as temperatures drop to the freezing mark by 8 PM and into the lower 20s by Sunday morning.
