Concerned Student 1950 group responds to Tim Wolfe resignation

The group Concerned Student 1950 addressed the media and crowds gathered on MU’s campus Monday afternoon following the resignation of MU System President Tim Wolfe.

The group is made up of 11 students who say they’re raising awareness around racial, cultural, and social injustices at the university.

The group said, “This is just the beginning!”

The group read a statement and took answers from the crowd.

Ultimately, the group said moving forward, they want students to have a say in choosing their next leader, and to meet with the MU Board of Curators.

Grad student Jonathan Butler was there, but did not take any individual questions from the media.

A news conference with MU head football coach Gary Pinkel is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

ABC 17 News will carry that conference live on KMIZ.
