Semi passenger arrested for drugs on I-70

A Missouri man is behind bars after reportedly getting caught with drugs on I-70.

Anthony Gibson, 35, of Sikeston is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

A trooper pulled over a tractor-trailer on I-70 Eastbound near the Route Z Exit for a routine traffic inspection, Cpl. Scott White with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

It happened just before 12:00 a.m. Sunday.

The trooper found Gibson, the passenger, with a pound and a half of marijuana, White said.

The driver was not arrested.
