Early morning fire damages Shakespeare’s pizza
The Shakespeare’s Pizza south location is back open Saturday after a fire started behind the kitchen inside the business.
The Columbia Fire Department arrived on scene just before 5 o’clock Saturday morning and quickly put out the fire.
Assistant Fire Marshal Mike Bauer determined the fire was caused by a towel dryer.
Shakespeare’s manager Kurt Mirtsching said there was just some minor smoke damage inside the building.
No one was injured.
