Election day on Tuesday for some in Mid-Missouri
Tuesday is another election day for some cities and counties in Mid-Missouri.
One of the largest issues in the area is Proposition 1 in Columbia, which extends the city wide sales tax for Columbia Parks.
It would be renewed for 6 more years. The proposition is 1/8th of 1 percent, and it’s expected to raise another $18 million.
Other races in the area include a 911 tax in Cooper County, a $600,000 bond issue for street improvements in Otterville, and a 67 cent tax levy for the Harrisburg R-8 school district.
Polls open at 6:00 a.m. and are open through 7:00 p.m.
