One person dead in crash west of Jefferson City

ABC 17 News confirmed at least one person died after a crash in Moniteau County involving a truck and a mini-van.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. Friday on Old Highway 50 near California, Mo., about 30 minutes west of Jefferson City.

According the the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report one of the vehicles crossed the center line and struck the other car head on.

33-year-old Rodriguez Long was killed in the crash. Another man went to the hospital with moderate injuries.
