Hourly parking returns to Columbia parking garage

Hourly parking will return to the Short Street parking garage Tuesday.

Columbia Public Works says crews installed 48 parking meters in the garage. The metered spaces can be found on the first level past the pay-arm.

The meters will accept both change and the EZ Park cars. The meters will be enforced 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Hourly parking was suspended last month because of technical issues with the pay-arm. The arm will now be locked in an open position.
