Columbia man accused of beating woman, hurting child
A Columbia man is charged with five felonies after allegedly beating up a woman and hurting a child.
Police said Brandon Boone hit a woman in the face Tuesday.
She fell on a curb and the 1-year-old she was holding hit her head on the ground.
The woman tried putting the toddler into a car seat, when officers said Boone grabbed the woman by her hair, punching her several times.
The little girl suffered a bloody nose and a cut above her eye.
Boone was arrested after the fight off Northland Drive, near Rangeline and Blue Ridge Road.
Boone appeared in court Wednesday and is still in the Boone Co. Jail.
