Fulton man arrested for possession of child porn
Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man Friday after allegedly finding him with child porn.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Christopher Russell, of Fulton for nine counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Deputies said it’s Russell’s second offense.
Deputies said the investigation started in September after deputies learned that Russell possessed a mobile device that likely possessed child pornography. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office – Cyber Crimes unit examined the devices and confirmed child pornography was present. Callaway County
Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wilson then filed the charges which led to Russell’s arrest Friday.
Russell has already been convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in the Callaway County Circuit Court back in February. Deputies said Russell was placed on supervised probation through the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole and remained on probation at the time of the September offenses that lead to his arrest Friday.
Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and said more charges are possible.
Russell is remained at the Callaway County Jail Friday without bond.
