First frost of the season Friday night
A cold, Canadian air mass is settling over Mid-Missouri Friday night giving us clear skies and light winds. As temperatures fall into the 30s, frost is expected to form, becoming widespread by morning. A Frost Advisory is in effect from 1 AM to 8 AM Saturday.
Overnight lows will drop into the mid 30s with some areas in our northeastern counties dropping to the freezing mark. Areas farther west near HWY 65 will stay in the upper 30s with areas of frost.
Potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside and any sensitive plants outside should be covered.
