State leaders discuss new standards for child social services

Missouri is implementing some new rules for child social services.

The joint committee on child abuse and neglect met in Jefferson City Tuesday morning to discuss statewide standards for juvenile officers. These updates have been under discussion for over a year.

Committee chairman State Rep. Bill Lant was joined by several other lawmakers, including State Sen. Rob Schaaf, (R) Buchanan, and State Rep. Jeanie Riddle, (R) Mokane.
