One person killed, seven injured in Morgan County crash

Emergency crews responded to a deadly four-car crash in Morgan County Saturday.

It happened around 10:00 a.m. near Highway 50 and Potters Ford Drive, which turns into Morgan County Drive.

Jeffrey Ryden, 38, did not yield at the intersection before driving onto Highway 50, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ryden crashed into another vehicle drive eastbound on the highway, throwing a front-seat passenger from his car.

A third car hid Ryden’s vehicle, throwing another passenger, Carissa Ryden, 31, from the back seat of his car.

A fourth vehicle on Highway 50 swerved to miss the crash, hitting Carissa Ryden in the road.

She was pronounced dead on scene.

Emergency crews took seven others to the hospital.
