Man walking along I-70 arrested on several warrants
A man was arrested back in August by Highway Patrol troopers after they spotted him walking along I-70 in Montgomery County.
Troopers stopped 30-year-old Justin Miller near the 164 mile marker on August 4, and learned he had two active felony warrants after a check of his information.
Miller had a warrant for his arrest in Mississippi County for failure to appear for taking a vehicle unlawfully in May.
He also had a warrant out of Boone County for unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and assault on a law enforcement officer in June.
When Miller found out he had active warrants, he told the trooper, “I can’t go back to jail,” and ran off the shoulder of the interstate and into a wooded area.
Troopers were unable to find Miller that day.
The next morning, Miller was seen walking on the shoulder of I-70 near mile marker 153 in Callaway County and was taken into custody by Callaway County deputies.
