Buses get facelift in Jefferson City

Jefftran has announced several upgrades to its transportation services. The division is updating its logo, which is more than 25 years old, and also adding the slogan “connecting our community.”

Drivers can also expect new uniforms, breaking away from what transit director Mark Mehmert describes as the “mall cop” look.

Mehmert says these re-branding upgrades will only cost around $1,500.

In the last year, Jefftran has added five new bus shelters, each costing $8,000, and Mehmert says more will be constructed in the near future.
