Columbia man and woman out of jail after interfering with shots fired incident

A Columbia man and woman are free Friday after officers investigated a shots fired incident Thursday afternoon off Rice Road and Boyd Lane.

Investigators said 22-year-old Eric Cravens and 21-year-old Shana McClain were arrested for reportedly disobeying orders from officers.

ABC 17 News cameras were rolling when CPD officers arrested Cravens and McClain.

They are both charged with obstructing government operations.

Cravens was previously the center of a downtown Columbia shooting investigation in 2013.

Charges in that case have since been dropped.
