Crews close, restrict lanes on Howard County bridge after discovering hole

Emergency maintenance is taking place on a Howard County bridge after crews discovered a hole in the bridge Wednesday.

Drivers can expect lane restrictions and closures on the Route Z bridge over Bartlett Creek west of Route 87 while crews work to repair the bridge.

Officials with the Missouri Department of Transportationsaid this a one lane bridge closure and said there is also a ten foot restriction on the other lane. MODOT saystheir crews will use asphalt to repair the hole.

All lanes of the bridge are expected to reopen by 4:30 Wednesday evening.
