South Columbia shooting suspect arrested, held on no bond

A man wanted in connection with an August shooting in south Columbia was arrested Monday.

23-year-old Mylonyo “Lonnie” Tramire Cunningham is charged for the double shooting that injured two men early Saturday, August 29.

Cunningham is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Witnesses reported there was a fight before gunshots rang out and then a car drove away from the scene.

ABC 17 News arrived shortly after it happened, right before 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of Peachtree Drive, near Nifong Boulevard and Providence Road.

Both men were taken to a local hospital for gunshot wounds.

Cunningham is being held on no bond at the Boone County Jail.
