Boone County business damaged in overnight fire
A fire damaged a wood business east of Columbia early Tuesday morning. The fire started at around 12:45 a.m. at Chigger Creek Wood Products on Rangeline Road.
Firefighters got to the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the building. No one was inside at the time, and no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
