One dead, two injured after car crash in Callaway County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a fatal single vehicle accident on County Road 338 around 9:15 Saturday night.

Troopers said the driver, Kevin Rackers, 50, of New Bloomfield, drove up a steep embankment, hit a tree and rolled down an embankment coming to a rest on it’s side by a creek.

The Boone County Medical Examiner pronounced Rackers dead at the scene.

A male and female passenger were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

According to the Highway Patrol, no one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt.
