Cole County Sheriff diagnosed with prostate cancer

Cole County Sheriff Greg White told ABC 17 News Thursday afternoon, he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

White got the news from doctors this past Sunday.

He went in for a routine check back in April which didn’t find anything.

Another check on August 26th showed his PSA had gone up 1.5 points in just four months.

White, his wife, and doctors met Wednesday to determine a treatment.

Doctors will remove his prostate this Monday.
