UPDATE: Search for suspect in north Columbia area comes to an end
The search for a suspect ended at Mexico Gravel Road and Pioneer Thursday night.
It’s unclear who they were looking for and whether the person was caught.
Multiple agencies were searching neighborhoods in north Columbia.
Police searched a wooded area near Mexico Gravel Road and Ballenger Lane. They also searched near Indian Park.
Neighbors in the area said they saw police chasing a car down Mexico Gravel Road before the perimeter was set up.
Police set up a stop in Lake Shire Estates and were questioning everyone entering and leaving.
Officers told our crews on the scene to stay in the car while they search. Police urged everyone in the area to stay indoors because people walking in the area can mess up the K-9 track.
